Wake up to the sun coming up over the Indian River Lagoon from a private dock that is yours for the whole stay. Sunrise on the River is a 3-bedroom, 2-bath waterfront home of about 1,800 sq ft in Grant-Valkaria, halfway between Melbourne and Vero Beach on Florida's Space Coast. It sleeps 8 across 5 beds, and the kitchen and living room look straight out at the water.

On the water

A private dock with roughly 50 feet of frontage and its own mooring — it comfortably takes a 26' boat (our own 26-footer ties up with no trouble; confirm your draft with us before arrival). Kayaks, paddleboards, paddles and life vests are included. It is 5.4 miles by water to the Sebastian Inlet sandbar and out to the Atlantic. Christenson's Landing public boat ramp is 2.3 miles away and a second public ramp is under 2 miles, with driveway parking for your boat trailer. The dock has rod holders, a bench, a fish-cleaning station and a rinse shower. Dolphins and manatees pass by most mornings.

Outside

Gazebo, wood-burning fire pit, propane grill, beach chairs, hammocks, fishing gear and a wide open waterfront lawn. Unobstructed northern view across the lagoon — SpaceX and Kennedy Space Center launches are visible from the dock.

Inside

1,800 sq ft, open plan with panoramic water views. Full kitchen equipped for real cooking, central AC, fiber WiFi, full-size washer and dryer, Smart TV in every bedroom, streaming included.

Good to know

You book the entire house, the yard, the gazebo, the fire pit and the private dock. There is a separate efficiency unit on the property that is not rented out — it is kept for the owners' own use. The owners may occasionally come by, always with advance notice, to use that unit or their boat. It has its own entrance and parking, and your stay is never disturbed.

Check-in 4:00 PM · Check-out 10:00 AM. Two-night minimum. Primary renter must be 25 or older. No smoking indoors. No parties or events without prior approval. Up to two dogs with pre-approval; pet fee applies. Children welcome. Quiet hours 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Boating and dock use at your own risk; children must be supervised on the dock. The separate efficiency unit on the property is for owner use only and is not part of the rental.
